Private Tennis On The Beach in Hawai`i

When you stay at King Hale in Haena, on Kaua`i, you can walk out the door to the white sand beach, or to play on the private tennis court built by legendary tennis star Billie Jean King.
In Hawaiian, Hale means home, and King Hale is pronounced, "King HAH Lei."


There are two levels at King Hale.The upper King Hale features queen bed in Ocean Master Bedroom, queen bed in Mountain Bedroom and double bed in Ocean Loft.

The beachlevel Prince Hale has a queen bed in the Bedroom, a queen pull-out bed in Living Room, and double-futon couch in the Sun Room.

Laundry facilities available.

There is a very special, private tennis court on the property. Many pro tennis players such as Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova have made King Hale a hideaway to relax and play tennis.

Both levels offer spectacular views of the beautiful Haena Reef, one of the larger reefs in Hawai`i, with its many tropical fishes, turtles, and occasional monk seal.

Whalewatching is excellent in winter, which is also the best time to watch the large waves rolling in to a famous surf spot called Tunnels.

In summer, the lagoon is calm and a place where children learn to swim. The snorkling is excellent.
